The resort we chose is the Catalonia Yucatan Beach Resort



The resort is located just south of Playa Del Carmen and has a complimentary shuttle bus to the city center that runs twice a day.

The Catalonia Resorts consits of two sides - the Yucatan side and the Mayan side. We are booked in the Yucatan side but have access to the entire resort.

The resort is a gated community and contains many amenities inside, including a shopping center.
There is supposed to be great snorkeling right out front and there are many excursions available. Please see the Catalonia Resort website for more details.
